OUR STORY

I love what I do and I put that love into my product. Thanks so much to all who have supported me in this venture!

~Janet Johnson

The artist, Janet Johnson, started making bird feeders out of repurposed vintage glass pieces in/around October 2017 in San Luis Obispo, California. It was quite a learning process on how to find the right glass, to be able to drill it without it cracking/shattering, to then match and attach the right pieces to each other, and then to store and transport the product. Janet works hard in making each piece a quality product that is unique in and of itself. After much trial and error, pieces started coming together and our living room and garage turned into a small warehouse of boxed product.

Our first show was at Cowgirl Christmas on Nov 22, 2017. It was a two-day event and a major success. Several of our customers had a lot of interest in and asked for hummingbird feeders so after a lot of trial and error, in mid-2018 we were able to successfully make those as well. Late 2018, Janet expanded to making lanterns “firefly lights” and late 2022 she made her first garden art. Wanting to make lanterns using solar lights finally came to fruition in 2024. Janet found a solar product that is so far reliable and lasts for a few hours to several hours in the darker hours (as long as the lanterns are exposed to the sunlight during the day). Recently, in 2025, she is dabbling with another creation of using older teacup and saucer sets to hang. Besides being unique and pleasing to the eye, these can be used to feed or water the birds or they can be used to plant air plants or succulents in the cups or whatever your imagination comes up with.

Thus far, we have done shows in California and Oregon. We happily get a lot of positive comments everywhere we go. Thanks so much for that!

We also want to give a huge THANK YOU to all of our customers! We greatly appreciate your business, positive comments and support.
