HOW TO USE THE LIGHTS & REMOTE

How to Use the lights and remote

You do not need the remote to turn on/control the lantern lights.

The main battery pack located in the base of the lantern has a button at the upper left corner on the pack’s lid. This is an off/on button. If your lantern isn’t lighting, check that before changing out batteries.

The remote sometimes works from a distance and other times it wants to be close. One remote is not consistent with the other and it probably depends on the power of the battery in the remote. For us, we like the Combination (#1) setting so we only use the remote to turn it on or off.

The remote has a “Timer” button that has a memory function built into it. This memory function works as long as the batteries have power/are not removed.

Steps for turning on the Timer.

1) Press ON to turn on the lights.

2) Press TIMER to activate the timer. It will automatically stay 6 hours on and 18 hours off.

Steps for turning off the Timer.

1) To turn off the timer, when the lights are on, press TIMER to turn off the timer.

Brightness can be controlled by the two buttons at the bottom of the remote’s display. + is brighter and – is dimmer.

Lantern Light Patterns

The lights we are currently using in our lanterns have the following lighting patterns, which should also be shown on the sticker on the battery pack. But, in case that sticker comes off, here is the list description of what each button on the remote does.

1) Combination
2) In Wave
3) Sequential
4) Slo glo
5) Chasing/Flash
6) Slow fade
7) Twinkle/Flash
8) Steady on
9) Off
