HUMMINGBIRD FEEDER ASSEMBLY/DISASSEMBLY
Hummingbird Feeder Assemble/Disassemble
When unscrewing or tightening the base on to or off your feeder, do not support your hummingbird feeder by its glass piece on top. This will put unnecessary pressure on the glass and feeder jar. Just hold it by the base feeder and then use your other hand to twist the jar off of the base.
To clean: Remove the base (the metal/plastic piece with the simulated flower/feeder ports) off by unscrewing (counterclockwise) the base from the hummingbird feeder. Most, if not all, bases separate its top and bottom for easy cleaning. There is a rubber/plastic ring that goes around the base’s bottom to its top to help seal it. Clean the base and hummingbird feeder with warm water.
Add the hummingbird food to the feeder by holding the feeder with the open base upright. Once you have added the hummingbird food (sugar water), reassemble the base to the feeder.
To reassemble: Make sure the rubber/plastic ring is put on correctly to maintain the proper seal between the top/flowery part of the base and its bottom. Make sure the feeder is upside down when adding the base so as not to spill any of the contents from the feeder. Screw the base on to the feeder (clockwise) until snug. DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN AND DO NOT FORCE THE THREADS! This can cause it to leak and possibly break.
Turn your hummingbird feeder upright and place it where you want. You are done.
